If you've spent any time watching content related to new-age spirituality, you've certainly come across the terms "orgonite" and "orgone energy". I've written this post to explain what they are and tell you about an exciting way you can use them. 

What's an "Orgonite"? What's "Orgone energy"?

In the 1930s, Wilhelm Reich, an Austrian doctor of medicine and psychoanalyst came up with the idea that many of the body's ailments are caused by deficits or an obstructed flow of "orgone" energy - a massless and omnipresent vital energy.
He began designing "orgone energy accumulators" - enclosures made from alternating layers of organic and inorganic materials that were meant to collect orgone energy and "charge" the person sitting inside. 

As time went by, the concept he pioneered began to evolve. People started creating "orgonites" - objects in the form of pyramids, pendants, and other shapes, made by layering inorganic materials like epoxy resin, and organic ones such as semi-precious stones and crystals, as well as metals.
It is believed that by exposing crystals (like quartz) to the constant pressure of the resin, a small piezoelectric charge is created. Therefore, it is believed that orgonites can help get rid of the electromagnetic pollution (EMF radiation) that humans are constantly exposed to in the modern world. They are often put near electrical appliances to "neutralize" their electromagnetic pollution - like TVs, computers, and other devices.

Do orgonites work? How can we use them?

There has been an ongoing debate about the science behind orgonites and specifically their property of protecting you from EMF radiation.
